The application for the UCLA Student Leadership Academy for graduate and professional students is now open!

For Graduate and Professional Students

Applications for the UCLA Student Leadership Academy for graduate and professional students is now open.

The UCLA Student Leadership Academy for graduate students will be held on January 30 - February 1, 2026 (starting Friday at 7pm through Sunday at 5pm).

Selected students for this year's program will:

  • Participate in an experiential learning trip to UCLA South Bay Campus starting Friday at 7pm through Sunday at 5pm.

  • Transportation (departing from and returning to UCLA), lodging, and meals will be covered by the program.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Be a current and continuing UCLA graduate student

  • You must NOT have attended a previous Leadership Academy or New Bruin Leadership Academy weekend

For Undergraduate Students

Applications for the 2025-2026 UCLA Student Leadership Academy are currently closed.

The UCLA Student Leadership Academy will be held once per quarter on the following dates (starting Friday at 7pm through Sunday at 5pm):

  • November 14 - November 16, 2025
  • April 24 - April 26, 2026

Selected students for this year's program will:

  • Participate in an experiential learning trip to UCLA South Bay Campus starting Friday at 6pm through Sunday at 5pm.

  • Transportation (departing from and returning to UCLA), shared lodging (about 1-3 roommates), and meals will be covered by the program.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Be a current and continuing UCLA undergraduate student at least one quarter after your assigned Leadership Academy date​​

  • You must NOT have attended a previous Leadership Academy or New Bruin Leadership Academy weekend

For UCLA Staff

UCLA Staff members can participate in the UCLA Student Leadership Academy as a Pod Leader or Program Support Staff. It is a great opportunity for staff to enhance their facilitation skills, gain experience in program/event supports, and meet other staff members across Student Affairs.
