Applications for the Fall Quarter Student Leadership Academy are now open until October 18 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

For Undergraduate Students

The UCLA Student Leadership Academy will be held once per quarter during Fall and Spring (starting Friday at 7pm through Sunday at 5pm).

We are currently accepting applications for the Fall Quarter program which will be held on:

  • November 13 - November 15, 2026

Applications are due by Sunday, October 18 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

Selected students for this year's program will:

  • Participate in an experiential learning trip to UCLA South Bay Campus (located in San Pedro and Rancho Palos Verdes, approximately 30-miles south of Westwood) starting Friday at 7pm through Sunday at 5pm.
  • Transportation (departing from and returning to UCLA), shared lodging (about 1-3 roommates), and meals will be covered by the program.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Be a current and continuing UCLA undergraduate student
  • You must NOT have attended a previous Leadership Academy or New Bruin Leadership Academy weekend
  • Complete the application below

For UCLA Staff

UCLA Staff members can participate in the UCLA Student Leadership Academy as a Pod Leader. It is a great opportunity for staff to enhance their facilitation skills, gain experience in program/event support, and meet other staff members across Student Affairs.

Applications to become a Pod Leader for the 2026-2027 Student Leadership Academies are currently open.

Applications are due by Sunday, October 4 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

For Graduate and Professional Students

The UCLA Student Leadership Academy program for Graduate and Professional students will be held during Winter Quarter. Applications will open toward the end of Fall Quarter 2026.

Please check back toward the end of the quarter for the opportunity to apply.

Selected students for this year's program will:

  • Participate in an experiential learning trip to UCLA South Bay Campus starting Friday at 7pm through Sunday at 5pm.
  • Transportation (departing from and returning to UCLA), lodging, and meals will be covered by the program.
